Scary Difficult

Under 14 requires adult guardian

Play With Fear is an original Solve haunted experience that leads you through a dark labyrinth of narrow paths and fog filled chambers to confuse and disorient you.

This experience is a race against the clock, playing a series of heart pounding challenges to find your way out...or pay the price.
Play With Fear is intended to create an immersive sensory experience that will include being thrust into total darkness, competing in challenges for escape keys, flickering lights, and oh yeah...creatures hiding in the darkness. This is no ordinary Solve Game... this game plays back!

Q: What time are you open?
A: Games will be scheduled for every 15 minutes starting at 6 PM each scheduled night.  Closing time varies on which night of the week you’d like to play.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Just $10!  Plus tax.  Click here for admission information.
Q: Is it really scary?
A: If it is not we have failed and suck.
Q: How do I print off my tickets? Do I need to print off my tickets?
A: Helpful, but not necessary.
Q: Can I switch the time/date of my ticket? I can’t make it to my reservation.
A: No. Please plan your visit before purchasing tickets. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds, rescheduled tickets, or exchanges under any circumstances. If you cannot make it during your scheduled time, we recommend you give your tickets to friend who can.
Q: Are there discounts for children?
A: No. All tickets are the same price.
Q: Once we’ve paid for admission are we able to go through again?
A: No. However, you can purchase another ticket if you would like to walk through the our haunt game again.
Q: Are group discounts available?
A: Sorry, not at this time.
Q: Do I get my money back if I make it through the haunt game?
A: Like sporting events and large attractions, we do not give refunds under any circumstances.
Q: How long is the wait in line?
A: You will not have to wait very long if you show up 5 minutes before your scheduled game play.  We may need to have you wait in the hallway/stairs area if you show up super-duper early.
Q: Do you charge for parking?
A: No…but the city of Duluth (street parking) and Allied (Casino Lot) does.  Pretty cheap, and convenient, though.
Q: How long does it take to go through?
A: The game will be 15-20 minutes long.
Q: Is the game handicap accessible?
A: Unfortunately, no.  The elevator is still not operational and there are numerous passageways that will not accommodate a wheelchair.
Q: Do you have a lot of strobe lights in the haunt game?
A: Yes. We have many strobe/flashing and very bright lights throughout the entire facility. It is not recommended for people that have Epilepsy go through our haunt game. We have strobe lights in many of our rooms and fog. We also don’t recommend people with asthma, heart issues and pregnant women go through our haunt game as well. We just want everyone to have a safe time.
You can always ask your physician to see if you can go through, however, we just don’t want you to get hurt.
Q: Can we take photos and/or videos inside the haunt game?
A: No. Photography and video recording (including GoPros) are not permitted.
Q: Will the actors touch us, or can we touch the actors?
A: Kinda…?  Actors will only touch you when you need to be guided through a portion of the experience. Please be respectful and do not touch them. Incidental and unintentional contact may occur.
Q: If I enter the haunt game and get too scared, what do I do?
A: If you get too scared, stay calm and find tell the actor in the room and they will escort you outside. Please note, like sporting events and large attractions, we do not give refunds under any circumstances.
Q: Can I bring my purse and/or bag into the haunt game?
A: We do have lockers at our haunt game in the lobby, but don’t bring a bunch of stuff, please!  Very small purses and/or bags are allowed in, other bags should be left at home.
Q: Are there live animals, reptiles, or insects inside?
A: As far as live creatures go, there are many life-like creatures in our haunt game. If there are real animals, they will be handled by professionals.
Q: Is there an age limit?
A: No. However, due to the graphic nature, it is not recommended for small children, toddlers or babies. We have had young children go through and have a great time and adults who go through and are in tears! You’re the parent- you be the judge. A good rule of thumb is: if you wouldn’t bring your child to a PG-13 rated movie, it’s probably not a good idea to bring them to a haunt game.
Q: Can pregnant women go through the haunt game?
A: We do not recommend pregnant women to go through the haunt game. We suggest calling your OBGYN and/or Physician to discuss the situation with them.
Q: If I have asthma, can I go inside of the haunt game?
A: We do not recommend people with asthma go through our haunt game. We suggest calling or emailing your Physician to discuss the situation with them since we have numerous fog machines throughout our haunt game. If your doctor thinks you’ll be fine, we definitely recommend bringing your inhaler or another device that may help you breathe better.
We also don’t recommend people with epilepsy, heart issues and pregnant women go through our haunt game as well. We just want everyone to have a safe time.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Sorry, we know dogs are welcome at most places in Duluth, however, it’s just too darn scary for our furry friends at our haunt game. They would probably be more comfortable at home with the other scaredy cats…err humans.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express at our on-site Box Office and our ticketing page.
Q: Can I wear a costume?
A: Yes, you can wear costumes to our haunt game! However, we ask that you not wear a mask or carry a prop!
Q: Can we be denied access to Play With Fear?
A: Yes. We will not allow foul language, obscene behavior, weapons, alcohol, drugs, etc… We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone we deem not appropriate for entry. Please use your head!!
Q: I want to do a story on your haunt game, who should I contact?
A: Please call 218-302-5434 or email info@solveentertainment.com.

A Few More Notes...

  • No Late Comers

Once the mission begins, no one is allowed to join.

  • Be Sober

Impaired players are a danger to our rooms and other players. Trust us, drugs and puzzle solving don't mix well.

  • Please Be Kind To Our Rooms

Our rooms are built to be handled and explored, but we're not a rage room. If you break something, you will be asked to pay for it.
